Intermittent Type
Rain-sensing Type
WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHER
With the "ENGINE" switch in the "IG-ON" mode:
a) Push the lever toward you and check that washer fluid
squirts onto the proper area of the windshield and that
wipers are activated. Wipers will make one additional
pass after a 3-second delay.
b) Check wiper speed operation on temporary, intermittent,
low and high cycles. Check that the wiper blades wipe off
the washer fluid cleanly.
c) The wipers should not make any abnormal noise when
operating.
NOTE:
• Intermittent Type - The frequency of the intermittent
wiper can be adjusted by turning the knob.
• Rain-Sensing Type - The sensitivity of the sensor
can be adjusted by turning the knob.
• Add washer fluid up to the proper level.
Rain-Sensing Type*
d) With the wiper switch lever in the "AUTO" position,
splash water on the windshield around the w indshield
sensor and check that the wipers operate.
