Chapter 3 Scanning Codes Operating procedure (1) Bring the reading window to a target code and press the trigger switch. Pressing the trigger switch halfway emits a laser light (marker) to indicate the scanning range. Align the center of the marker with that of the target code. Pressing the trigger switch fully turns on the illumination LED and scans the code.

Setting the communications parameters The scanner communicates with the connected PC in accordance with the RS-232C asynchronous serial interface. (1) Transmission speed You may select the transmission speed from six choices ranging from 4,800 to 115,200 bps. (Default: 38,400 bps) (2) Characters Characters that the scanner transfers are all ASCII codes except when binary codes are specified.
