Step 3 Cable Connections

<Connect the various cables to the connectors on the back of the 3.5-inch disk cage.>
1.
Connect the SGPIO cable, power cables, and SAS/SATA cable (Option) coming with the cage
following the figure shown below.
-SGPIO cable
Use the SGPIO cable to connect
the SGPIO connector (J1) on the back of
the 3.5-inch disk cage to the SGPIO A
connector at the bottom of the motherboard.
For the second cage, connect to the SGPIO B
connector.
-Power cable
Connect the server power cable P12 to the
power connector on the back of the 3.5-inch
disk cage that is further away from you (CN2),
and connect the server power cable P11 to the
power connector on the back of the 3.5-inch
disk cage that is closer to you (CN1).
For the first cage, connect the power cable (P7, P8).
Connect the right angle plug of the SAS/SATA cable to the SAS/SATA connector, and SGPIO cable to the
SGPIO connector on the back board of the disk cage.
<Connecting with the RAID controller>
One K410-174(00) (optional) is necessary to connect up to one disk cage, and two are necessary to
connect up to two
-SAS/SATA cable
Connect the SAS/SATA connector (MINISAS_1) of the 3.5-inch disk cage and the connector on the
right side of the RAID controller mounted on the motherboard.
If installing the second disk cage, connect the SAS/SATA connector (MINISAS_1) of the second
3.5-inch disk cage and the connector on the left side of the RAID controller mounted on the
motherboard.
