    COME AVVIARE L’OROLOGIO (Non pertiene ai modelli con calendario perpetuo.) Per avviare l’orologio, rimuovere dalla corona la protezione di plastica e premere la corona in dentro, contro la cassa. Alcuni orologi richiedono l’avvitamento in dentro della corona di impostazione. Se la cassa dell’orologio in dota- zione presenta una sporgenza con filettature, la corona deve essere avvitata dopo aver impostato l’orologio.

    IMPOSTAZIONE DI DATA E ORA NOTA: la corona dell’orologio presenta tre posizioni: chiusa, intermedia ed esterna. Per faniliarizzarsi con la differenza fra le varie posizioni, estendere la corona alla sua posizione più esterna, e poi spingerla molto leggermente finché non la si sente scattare nella posizione intermedia.

  • Page 14 Il giorno e la data sono stati impostati presso la fabbrica Timex: occorre solo regolare l’ora. L’orologio presenta due pulsanti incassati per l’uso esclusivo da parte del Timex Service Center per impostare il giorno e la data dopo la sostituzione della batteria. Questi pulsanti non hanno altro uso.
  • Page 15 Per mantenere corretta la data, l’orologio include un’impostazione per la compensazione dell’anno bisestile corrente. Questa impostazione viene eseguita presso la fabbrica Timex oppure dopo la sostituzione della batteria, e non può essere cambiata, ma solo visualizzata. Per visualizzare la compensazione, estrarre la corona nella sua posizione intermedia.

In caso contrario, premere il pulsante TIDE (MAREA) o TEMP per spostare la lancetta in modo che punti in tale direzione. I pulsanti MAREA e TEMP spostano rispettivamente la lancetta in senso orario e antiorario.

TERMOMETRO Quando il termometro viene indossato al polso, la sua lettura viene influenzata dal calore corporeo.   • Page 61 Nel calibrare e nell’usare la bussola per le letture, è importante, come nel caso di tutte le bussole, mantenerla a livello. In caso contrario, si può incorrere in gravi errori di lettura. Evitare inoltre, per non ottenere letture inaccu- rate, zone in cui potrebbero essere presenti concentrazio- ni superiori al normale di ferro dolce o magnetizzazione permanente.

CHRONOGRAPH OPERATION The watch provides a four hour chronograph. At the end of the four hour period the Chronograph will automati- cally turn off.

This can only be done if the countdown timer is not in operation and has been reset.     TACHYMETER FUNCTION (not all models) The tachymeter will only determine speeds greater than 60 units per hour using this method; slower speeds can be measured by decreasing the unit of measurement.
