inside by moving the jet of compressed air up and
down until all dust is removed. If not, replace the air
filter with a new one.
4. Check that the carburettor exterior is free of dirt
and dust. Clean with dry compressed air.
5. Check the tightness of the nuts and bolts. Loose
screws and bolts due to vibration may cause an
unforeseen accident.
Check the engine oil
1. To check the engine oil level, place the plate
compactor on level, stable ground and the engine
stopped.
2. Remove the plug / dipstick from the engine oil
filter port (Figure 3)

3. Insert and remove the dipstick without screwing
into the filter neck. Check the oil level indicated on
the dipstick.
4. If the oil level is low (Figure 4), fill to the edge of
the oil filter hole with the recommended type of oil
(Table 3). Maximum oil capacity: 400 cc.

Check the belt

Check the essence
1. Remove the fuel cap at the top of the fuel tank.
2. Visually inspect to see if the fuel level is low. If
the level is low, fill with unleaded gasoline.
3. When refuelling, use strainer for filtering. DO
NOT fill to the top. Wipe off any fuel spillage.
Check the vibrator oil
1. Place the MVC-88GH horizontally on a flat
surface. Make sure the compactor is level by
checking the vibrator oil.
2. Check the vibrator level by removing the plug
(vibrating oil dipstick) as shown in Figure 5. The oil
level should reach the plug. The vibrator contains
140 cc (about 1 quart). IMPORTANT: If oil is
required, use SAE 10W-30 engine oil.

2. The belt tension is correct if the belt slumps by 10
to 15 mm by pressing the finger in the middle
between the clutch
pulley.
