ELECTRICAL
REQUIREMENTS
These models require a 115/ 120- volt AC, 60- Hz
grounded out let prot ect ed wit h a 15- amp
t ime- delay fuse or circuit breaker.
The 3- prong grounding plug minimizes t he
possibilit y of elect ric shock hazard. If t he wall out let
you plan t o use is only a 2- prong out let , it is your
responsibilit y t o have it replaced wit h a properly
grounded 3- prong wall out let .
CAUTION
Do not , under any circumst ances, cut or remove t he
t hird (ground) prong from t he power cord.
Do not change t he plug on t he power cord of t his air
condit ioner.
Aluminum house wiring may present special problems—
consult a qualified elect rician.
Power cord includes a current int errupt er device. A t est
and reset but t on is provided on t he plug case. The device
should be t est ed on a periodic basis by first pressing t he

UNPACKING THE AIR CONDITIONER
WARNING
EXCESSIVE WEIGHT HAZARD - When moving or lift ing
t he air condit ioner, use t wo or more people. Wear gloves
when handling t he air condit ioner t o prot ect against
possible sharp edges and met al fins.
Remove Packaging Mat erials
• Remove packaging mat erials. Save t he cart on and
t he foam packaging for st oring t he unit when not in
use.
NOTE: There is NO int ernal packing mat erial inside
t he air condit ioner t o remove - DO NOT open t he
cabinet .
• Handle t he air condit ioner gent ly.
• Keep t he air condit ioner upright and level. Do not
set t he air condit ioner on it s side, front , back or
upside down.
• The air condit ioner must be st anding upright for 2
hours prior t o inst allat ion and operat ion.
