Operation and safety instructions These subjects are covered in a separate manual. This manual also applies to other control computers in the Fancom F2000-line. Always read the safety instructions and warnings carefully before using the control computer. Always keep this manual close to the control computer.
For any questions and support, please contact the local Fancom Sales & Service Center. F-Central FarmManager™ Virtually all Fancom equipment can be controlled and managed from a central location. This requires the F-Central FarmManager software package and a communication module. The screens in the control computers are also used...
Lumina 71 Overview Overview The Lumina 71 is ideally suited for multi-phase feeding. The main objectives of multi-phase feeding are: • Supplying the right amount of feed in the right composition at every feeding cycle. The composition and amount are based on the animals’ life cycle.
Lumina 71 Basic principles Basic principles This chapter explains the basic principles and the terminology used in the Lumina 71. When setting up a group of animals follow the following steps: Determine the feeding method (see "Feeding methods" page 6) Determine the feeding curve (see "Feed curves"...
Page 11
Lumina 71 Basic principles 3.2.1 Determining the curve for daily feed amount The control computer first determines the curve for the daily amount per feed place based on the feed curve, curve day, animal weight and the number of animals at the feed place.
Page 12
Lumina 71 Basic principles 3.2.2 Feed composition The ideal feed amount and composition depend on the animals' weight and age. During the animal's life cycle the system will gradually switch over from starter feed to transitional feed and then to finisher feed. The feed amount also depends on the animals' age and weight.
Lumina 71 Basic principles BioRhythm Use a biorhythm to change the distribution of the portion during the day. This enables less feed to be supplied in the morning and more in the evening, for example. Carefully adjust the feed to suit the animals by changing the settings per feed place. A few examples: •...

Lumina 71 Silo and Feed Silo and Feed Feed ingredients are raw materials that can be dosed into a weigher/blender. The (theoretical) stock per feed ingredient and per silo can be registered in the control computer. Use the energy value and the price per feed ingredient to register the data per feed place as well as consumption per feed ingredient.
Lumina 71 Silo and Feed Ingredient overview In this tab page the basic feed ingredient settings can be entered and the stock per ingredient is shown. This stock can be located in serveral silos. tab page tab page Silo/Feed Ingr.
Lumina 71 Silo and Feed Bulk tab page Silo/Feed Bulk Bulk in Silo Setting the silo used for bulking. If the silo status is EMPTY or SWITCHED, it will automatically change to FREE. If the silo status is BLOCK, it must be changed manually. See section Silo Set in this chapter.
Lumina 71 Time clock Time clock Time clocks can be used to activate/deactivate equipment. Various time periods can be entered per time clock. For example, use one time clock to activate equipment from 9:00 to 11:00, from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00.
Lumina 71 Registration general Registration general The control computer automatically registers ingredient consumption and various data per feed place. Register extra data using the registration inputs. Lumina 71 Registration general Registration input Registration inputs can be used for continuous registration, for example to register gas or electricity consumption. tab page Registration general Reg. input Reg.input Readout of the name of the registration group. Today Readout of the total consumption today.
Lumina 71 Set alarm Set alarm 10.1 Ingredient In this tab page the minimum stock can be entered. When stock falls below this minimum, the control computer gives an alarm. The control computer checks the minimum stock using the registered feed consumption. The actual consumption may differ due to the error margin of weighing and dosing-in equipment.
