Starting From Cold
The engine management system automatically compensates
for cold or warm start conditions and makes appropriate
adjustments to the fuel / air mixture and ignition timing.
Stopping the Engine
Press the vehicle key fully in and
release. The engine will stop as the
key returns to position 'I'.
Withdraw the vehicle key from the
Ignition Control.

Auto Drive Mode

Park (P)
Press P to select Park once the vehicle is stationary.
The transmission will mechanically lock. If the
vehicle key is moved to position '0' while the
vehicle is at a standstill, the transmission will
automatically select P .
Always ensure that the parking brake is applied.
The message centre (left) displays the current
position and the GPID displays P .
It is not possible to select P above
approximately 1 m.p.h. (2 km/h).
Reverse (R)
The engine cannot be started in this position.
Reverse can only be selected by pressing the R
button while in Park (P) or Neutral (N), with the
brake pedal pressed.
If the brake pedal is not pressed the message centre (right) will
display 'Press Brake Pedal'.
