(6) Touch [OK].
The maintenance mode is then invoked so that the "Mainte-
nance process" menu screen appears on the display.

Entering the maintenance mode from the routine mode
(1) If the main switch is OFF, turn it ON.
(2) Turn ON the sub-switch.
The routine mode starts in about 5 minutes.
(3) Select the utility mode.
If the "Patient ID Information Input" screen is displayed, touch
[Cancel] and then select the utility mode.
The "Password Input" screen opens.
The password (000000, displayed as ****** ) for permitting the
user to enter the service mode is displayed in the character string
input area.

(4) Touch [AC] to delete the default password for the user's service
mode entry.
The character string in the input area is then cleared.
(5) Touch [123].
The upper-case alphabetical character input mode then pre-
vails.
