- Fit a 150 mm diameter flexible RVS pipe to the pipe collar and
screw it tight with a sheet metal screw. Be sure not to block the
flue mechanism.

3.2 FUEL

The burner of the hearth is designed for natural gas (cat I
propane (cat I
). The information plate clearly states which fuel to
3P
use. The hearth cannot be modified for other fuels. You can find the
type plate at the bottom of the inside of the front.

3.3 CONNECTING THE GAS SUPPLY

The hearth requires a G3/8" gas connection. The gas line must be
fitted with a G1/2" (CE approved) shut-off tap.
Ensure that the gas connection is in the proper position for
attachment to the gas hearth and that you can easily install the gas
tap.
Be sure the control equipment is not twisted while connecting the
gas pipe. Remove any tension on the control equipment and the
gas supply pipe. After connection is complete, check all fittings for
52
gas leaks.

3.5 PLACEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE LEGS

If the chimney has previously been used for a wood, oil, or coal
stove, it must be professionally cleaned.
The flue must be at least 150 mm in diameter. Any damper in the
chimney must be removed. The Lumina is equipped with its own
dampers with a safety feature. If the dampers are closed, the gas
hearth will not light.
The legs of the Lumina are internally threaded (M8) and have
adjustable bolts. The tops of the legs are fitted with externally
threaded (26 mm M8) posts.
The legs can be adjusted from between 12 cm (without the legs
and with the bolts completely screwed in; this is level with the
front of the hearth) and 44 cm (posts at maximum height, front of
the hearth 32 cm above the floor). This is done by sawing the legs
to the desired length minus 14 cm (without screw threads). Before
installing the hearth, screw the adjustable legs as far into the
hearth as possible.
After the hearth is installed, the legs can be adjusted by screwing
the posts out to the desired length (fig. 3).
