In standby mode, the hard disk drive stops and the LCD turns off to
save power. When any key is pressed, the computer immediately
resumes normal operation.
The following shows what causes the computer to enter standby
mode and resume normal operation:
To Standby Mode
Fn F3 key combination is
pressed.
No activity occurs during
the time specified by the
Standby timer of the
ThinkPad Features
program.
To Normal Operation
Any key is pressed.
Pointing device activity
occurs.
