Map Text; Cities; Highways - Magellan Map 410 User Manual

Map Text

At times you may want to view the screen with less text showing to give a
better view of landmarks or waypoints. You do this by turning the Map Text
off using the following keystrokes.
From
the Map
screen.
Use UP/DOWN
ARROW KEYS to
highlight MAP TEXT.
Turning the text off will not turn off your waypoints or landmarks, you do
that on the second page of the MAP SETUP screen. The default setting is
ON.

Cities

This function allows you to decide if, and at what scale, the different
categories of cities will be displayed on the MAP screen. This includes the
four categories of cities listed on the MAP SETUP screen; MAJOR CITIES,
LARGE CITIES, MEDIUM CITIES and SMALL CITIES. Each category is
controlled individually.
From
the Map
screen.
Use UP/DOWN ARROW
KEYS to highlight
the city category.
Continue the above steps for all the cities.

Highways

This function allows you to decide if, and at what scale, the different
categories of highways will be displayed on the MAP screen. This includes
the three categories of highways listed on the MAP SETUP screen; MAJOR
HWY, STATE/LOCAL HWY and LOCAL ROAD. Each category is
controlled individually.
From
the Map
screen.
Use UP/DOWN ARROW
KEYS to highlight
the highway category.
Continue the above steps for all the highways.
