3.3.2.5 Handlebars

The pedelec is steered using the handlebars. The
handlebars are used to support the upper body
and is the mount for operating and display
components (see Section 3.5.1).

3.3.2.6 Fork

The stem and handlebars are attached to the top
end of the fork steerer. The axle is fastened to the
fork ends. The wheel is fastened to the axle.
There are two types of forks:

Rigid forks

Suspension fork

Rigid forks are installed in this model series. Rigid
forks do not feature suspension. They transfer the
used muscle and motor power to the road to
optimum effect. Pedelecs with rigid forks consume
less energy on steep roads and have a greater range
than pedelecs with suspension.
