2 Proper use, warranty

Remove the shredded material container
and check the name plate on the cutting
head (see point 3 Overview) to fi nd out
which cutting width and mains voltage your
document shredder is designed for. Refer to
the relevant point in the operating manual.
The shredder is designed for destroying
paper.
The paper must not contain staples or paper
clips.
The warranty period for the document
shredder is 3 years. This warranty and guar-
antee exclude wear and damage caused by
improper handling or actions taken by third
parties.
HSM guarantees the delivery of spare parts
for up to 10 years after the production of
this model has been discontinued.
Note:
Document shredders with a particle cutting
unit also come with an optional device for
lubricating the cutting unit. Note the docu-
mentation enclosed for the oiler if your ma-
chine is equipped with one.
