TOOLS NEEDED
See Figure 4.
The following tools (not included or drawn to scale) are
needed for assembly:
 Socket Wrenches and/or Combination Wrenches
NOTE: Do not put fuel or lubricant in the generator before
installing the feet, frame support, wheels and handle.
INSTALLING THE FEET
See Figure 5.

Right foot bracket

Left foot bracket

4 lock nuts
4 bolts

2 wheels
 Raise the end of the generator where the handle is located

ASSEMBLY
CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING BATTERY
See Figure 7.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electrocution or explosion, do not
short circuit the battery terminals or charge in a sealed
container. Keep sparks and flame away.
WARNING:
Keep metal objects away from the battery terminals.
Metal objects can make a connection from one terminal
to another. Shorting the battery terminals together can
cause sparks, burns, or a fire.
NOTICE:
The battery may require charging before the generator
can be started using either the engine switch or the recoil
starter. Once the generator is started, the battery will
charge as the unit runs.
The starter cable on the generator must be connected to the
battery harness before the generator can be started.
To connect:
 Remove the cap from the generator's starter cable.
 Connect the starter cable on the generator to the
connection port on the battery harness, making sure the
plug is fully seated.
To remove the battery for replacement:
 Disconnect the generator's starter cable from the
connection port on the battery harness.
 Disconnect the negative (black) post, then the positive
(red) post, being careful not to short across the terminals.
Make sure to note how the battery harness is connected
on the old battery and reinstall in the same manner on
the new battery.
NOTE: Always abide by the safety warnings provided with
the battery. Dispose of old battery according to local and
state regulations.
