Both parts must be installed in a UR3000 or UR3100 mounting frame following the instructions in the corresponding section of this chapter.

The following figure shows the PDC3002C01 module rear board connector layout. Rear view of the PDC3002C01 The PDC3002C01 module provides one analog video input with loop-through per section (CCVS-INA/CCVS-LOOPA and CCVS-INB/CCVS-LOOPB) and two digital video outputs per section (SDI-OUT1A, SDI-OUT2A and SDI-OUT1B, SDI-OUT2B). It also provides two GPIOs per section (GPIO1A/GPIO2A and GPIO1B/GPIO2B).
All coaxial cable used must be Belden 8281 or similar. This type provides the greatest lengths because it is used to calculate the equalizers in the PDC3002C01. Cables carrying signal between the module and the devices should use single piece construction, avoiding spliced sections with double BNC female or barrel connectors.

The polarity of the GPIOs is configurable using a register in the EEPROM. With normal polarity, a GPIO is active when short-circuited to ground and inactive when it is open-circuit.

It consists of the insertion of a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) packet at the end of each video field to check the data in that field. The receiving equipment calculates the CRC for the data received and compares it with the CRC received in the packet to determine if errors are present in the transmission.
