1 input to 6 outputs analog audio distributor with transformer balanced inputs and outputs and independent gain adjustments for each one of the outputs (24 pages)
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 1. DESCRIPTION 1.1. The AAD2000C01 The AAD2000C01 is a low-distortion amplifier-distributor module designed for use in professional audio environments. The module includes one input and four balanced outputs using (euroblock) type terminal block connectors. The module includes a potentiometer for gain adjustment with a range of ±20 dB.
SNMP management and the ability to record events in a file including date and time information for further analysis. The AAD2000C01 is a TL2000 terminal line module and can be housed in a two rack unit (2 RU) UR2000 mounting frame.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 2. SPECIFICATIONS Analog audio signal input Connector Plug-in terminal, 3.81 mm pitch Impedance >20 kΩ Type Active balanced Common mode rejection ratio (CMRR): at 50 Hz >65 dB at 20 kHz >65 dB Maximum common mode range ±12 V...
• The AAD2000C01 module and the mounting frame should always be installed, maintained, operated and removed by personnel with sufficient technical qualifications. The equipment should never be placed in damp areas, near splashing liquid, or in explosive or corrosive atmospheres.
19 modules can be housed in a two-unit UR2000 mounting frame. If the AAD2000C01 is used to distribute signals with a level greater than 4 dBu and all of the outputs are loaded by 600 Ω then the power consumption of the may exceed the 3 W destined for each slot, and therefore the maximum number of AAD2000C01 modules that can be installed will be lower than the number of slots in the mounting frames.
1 - Remove the blank panel covering the front of the empty slot chosen for installing the AAD2000C01 in the mounting frame. 2 - Insert the AAD2000C01 module into the front of the mounting frame. The edges of the card slide into two plastic guides inside the mounting frame.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 3.7. Interconnection The arrangement of the front panel connectors of the AAD2000C01 module is shown in the following figure. Front panel of the AAD2000C01 The AAD2000C01 module includes one analog audio input input (IN) and four analog audio outputs (OUT1 to OUT4).
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 4. OPERATION This section describes the significance of the front panel indicators of the AAD2000C01 module and their remote control and monitoring ability. 4.1. Front panel description The appearance of the front panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.
The LED shines green when the signal level is above the silence threshold but has not exceeded the overload threshold. The AAD2000C01 uses the peak level meter to update the status LED. The silence threshold and overload threshold are adjustable between -10 and +25 dBu.

Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 Within a group of AAD2000C01 modules installed in the same mounting frame any module can pass the signals at the input to the internal bus by selecting this option in the remote control software. All signals sent to the internal bus are summed and their levels normalized so that all the summed signals have an equal level.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 4.3. Module remote control and supervision The AAD2000C01 can optionally be remotely controlled/supervised. In order to perform remote configuration and supervision of the module an optional TL2000 family remote communications controller must be installed in the mounting frame.
- View and adjust the status of the silence and overload detectors. 4.3.1. Details of the AAD2000C01 registers The AAD2000C01 module provides control and status registers that can be read and written by means of specific commands described in the communication control module user manuals.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual AAD2000C01 5. GLOSSARY This acronym refers to the class of connectors described in IEC 61076-2-103. These connectors are commonly employed in professional installations where cabling carries balanced audio in both analog and digital format. The pinout is defined by IEC 60268-12, and is most commonly set as: Pin 1 = shield, Pin 2 = signal with positive phase (+), Pin 3 = signal with reverse phase (-).
