Albalá Ingenieros | Manual HVM0002C01 The HVM0002C01 is powered by an external wall adapter supplied with the equipment. The power supply connection has a security system that attaches the power cable to the equipment case with a threaded connector, avoiding any mechanical stress on the cable due to accidental disconnection.

• The HVM0002C01 is a telecommunications infrastructure device and must be installed and operated by technicians with appropriate training. • The HVM0002C01 is powered by DC voltage. This voltage must be obtained from the external power supply included with the equipment, or from another supply that converts the mains voltage into a Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) as per EN 60950-1.
HVM0002C01 3.3. Attachment The HVM0002C01 has four rubber feet for desktop operation. It also has threaded fasteners to hold it in any position on any surface. These fasteners accept M4x0.7 screws and penetrate 3 mm into the device. Installation must be away from heat sources and there should be no obstacles to airflow.
- Control and supervision. 3.6.1. Power supply connection The HVM0002C01 power supply is connected via a 2.5 mm jack and the voltage must be between 5 and 15 VDC. The equipment contains an internal switched mode regulator that allows this wide range of input voltages without reducing energy efficiency.
HVM0002C01. It is important to keep in mind that the transmitter modules have their Section A on the right when looking into the module from the side where the fiber...
The HVM0002C01 cannot function with SFP modules that consist of one transmitter and one receiver. SFP modules not approved by Albalá Ingenieros should never be used, as this can cause improper functioning of the HVM0002C01 or even damage it.
Type A connector on the computer side and a mini-Type B connector on the HVM0002C01 side. The first time that the module is connected to a computer it is necessary to install a driver that allows the operating system to use the USB connection of the module as a standard serial port.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual HVM0002C01 4. OPERATION This section describes the significance of the HVM0002C01's indicators and equipment operation when a signal is applied. 4.1. Upper panel description The appearance of the upper panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.
DVI output and via any available SDI outputs - electrical if configured as such or optical if an SFP transmitter module is installed. Using the multiplexing ability of the HVM0002C01 the electrical or optical input from...
The DVI interfaces include control lines through which the format of the video being transmitted can be negotiated. The HVM0002C01 will output a signal via DVI in the same format in which that signal was received in SDI. The only exception is for the 485i59.94 and 576i50 formats which are not defined in the DVI standard, and some...
These delays have a fixed position and can be activated using the control software. 4.2.4. Generator and response to loss of signal Each section of the HVM0002C01 includes a video generator that can be used to deliver a signal at the corresponding output other than the signal received at that section's input, or to continue delivering an output signal when the input video signal is lost.
4.2.5. Frame buffer Section A of the HVM0002C01 provides a frame buffer between its input and output. When activated this frame memory maintains the stability of the SDI and DVI outputs for both the horizontal and the vertical sync in the face of any changes to or losses of the input video signal.
This selection can be set using the control software. 4.2.8. SFP modules SFP modules are not necessary for the HVM0002C01 to operate properly, but they do add the useful functions of electrical-to optical and optical-to-electrical conversion. SFP modules manufactured by Albalá Ingenieros are recommended because they provide diagnostic capabilities that are not possible with SFP modules from other manufacturers.
Software for simple configuration and supervision with a GUI for multiple modules can be downloaded from the Albalá Ingenieros website. The following functions of the HVM0002C01 can be performed remotely: - Loading and storage of the user presets. - Specification of the signal direction for each of the electrical and optical ports.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual HVM0002C01 4.3.1. Details of the HVM0002C01 registers The HVM0002C01 module provides control and status registers that can be read and written by means of specific commands described in the communication control module user manuals. The parameter information grouped in the CONTROL or RAM sections is stored in volatile memory.
