– Unplug electrical connector from actuator for camshaft adjust‐
ment.
– Remove bolts -1- and -2- for connector rail.
– Push ignition coil connector towards ignition coil, release re‐
tainer and detach connector from ignition coil.
– Place connector rail slightly to one side. Make sure that wiring
is not kinked or damaged.
– Position puller - T40039- on thick rib -arrow- at top of ignition
coils and detach all ignition coils from spark plugs one after
the other in direction of -arrow-.

– Unscrew spark plugs using spark plug socket and extension -
VAS 3122B- .
Step 2 - removing spark plugs, cylinder bank (left-side):
– Move line -arrow- clear at air pipe.
– Release hose clips -1- and -3- and detach air pipe.
