Operating modes of the gateway
New In this mode the gateway is in the delivery state. After the battery is connected, the
gateway connects to S GCP and receives the current mode from S GCP!
If the mode set in the S GCP for the gateway is also "NEW", the installation is started after
a long press of the function key.
The gateway is in "NEW" mode until the first installation has started (and is normally
completed). After the installation has been completed (or the installation has been aborted
again), the gateway switches to "MANUAL" mode.
If the installation is aborted for the first time, it remains in "NEW" mode. If meter scans or
meter readouts are configured via the S GCP before the gateway installation, the mode
set in the S GCP mode changes to "NORMAL". In this case, the gateway does not begin
installation after connecting the battery.
Manual/Install These are the installation modes. In these modes, the gateway performs tasks that were
previously scheduled in the S GCP.
If no tasks are set, the gateway connects every 24 hours, otherwise 2x per week. Press
and hold the function key to start the installation. The installation process is the same as in
"NEW" mode.
Normal This is the normal operating mode. In this mode, the gateway performs scheduled tasks.
If no tasks are S GCP set in the gateway, the gateway connects every 24 hours, otherwise
2x per week. Press and hold the function key to start the manual reconnection.
Inactive In this mode, the gateway does not perform any tasks. Press and hold the function key to
start the manual reconnection.
Busy The gateway displays a busy message when it is busy with an internal process (connection
to S GCP, read, scan, FW update, installation, ...).
Sleep After the gateway has completed all tasks, it goes into sleep mode. In sleep mode it has
a very low energy consumption. Pressing the function key awakens the gateway from the
idle state.
