Recording leaks

After you detect the exact position of a leak point, you can start to record the leak data.
ATTENTION!
The calculation of leak losses depends on many factors including pressure, distance,
background noise and so on. To get accurate results, we recommend you record leaks at a
fixed distance of not more than 1 m and with the trumpet mounted on the OS 531.
You can detect leaks from a distance, but keep in mind that recording loss estimation is best
performed at a close distance.
Steps:
4. Mount the trumpet on the sensor and locate the
rough leak range.
5. When you are close to the leak point, mount the
focus tube and focus tip onto the sensor, and scan
with the focus tip until the exact location is found.
Note: The focus tube and tip are used to pinpoint the
leak area, not to measure the leak amount.
