3-1-2 Pulse Input Connection Procedure
Note that the jumper pin settings on the expansion terminal block board and the details of the
external signal connections will differ depending on the model of the expansion terminal block
board used and the type of the pulse input signal.
See section 3-1-3 on page 13, "Pulse Input Setup Procedure" for details on the parameter
settings.
(1) For Single-Phase Pulse Input Signal Operation
<When the VF5X-4514 expansion terminal block board is used>
Jumper positions: See figure 1-3, "VF5X-4514".
Jumper settings: See table 3-1-3.
1. Set the JP1 jumper to the PGB position
2. Connect the pulse input signal between the PGB and CC pins on the expansion
terminal block board.
3. If the command mode is "terminal block valid", the ST, F, and R pins (and CC pin)
on the inverter itself can be used for forward/reverse switching.

<When the VF5X-4515 expansion terminal block board is used>
Jumper positions: See figure 1-4, "VFSX-4515".
Jumper settings: See table 3-1-3.
1. Set the JP3 jumper to the PGB position, and set the JP5 jumper to the A position.
If the S7/P12 pin on the expansion terminal block board is to be used as the pulse
generator power supply, set the JP1 jumper to the P12 position.
2. Connect the pulse input signal between the PGB and CC pins on the expansion
terminal block board.
3. If the command mode is "terminal block valid", the ST, F, and R pins (and CC pin)
on the inverter itself can be used for forward/reverse switching.
