The backplanes provide:
SNMP redundancy within the chassis
Automatic software downloads to all hub modules in the chassis
The ability to hot swap hub modules in the chassis
The 7-slot segmented backplane chassis provides for the installation of up to
six hubs and one switch. Figure 2 shows an example of a 7-slot segmented
backplane chassis with a variety of TurboStack hubs and an AT-TS90TR
switch.

The hubs in Figure 2 occupy the first six slots and the switch occupies slot 7 of
the chassis. The chassis in Figure 2 is a rackmount model.
