3.3.12 Transmitter Unit ZE 0796

1. Set the front panel controls on Type 5998 as follows:
2. Connect Transmitter Unit ZE 0796 to the Channel B Transmitter socket.
3. Screw a JJ 2617 onto the Transmitter Unit and short-circuit this with JP 0169.
4. Apply 1 V at 1 kHz to the Genarator Input BNC socket using cable AO 0479.
5. Use the Measuring Amplifier to check there is about –34 dB re.1 V on the Out-
6. Change the frequency to 25 kHz. The output should still be about –34 dB re.1 V.
7. Reduce the frequency towards 1 Hz and check that the frequency response is flat
8. Set Ref. to On and the Gain to 40.
9. Use the Measuring Amplifier to check there is about 1 V on the Output BNC
10. Remove the JJ 2617 adaptor. Check there is still about 1 V on the Output BNC
