SETTING TO WORK – DRAIN AND SEWER CLEANING (Cont'd)

Pay out additional hose to allow nozzle to be inserted approximately 500-
700mm into pipe entry point. Position Tiger Tail on pipe radius at entry to
protect sewer hose from sharp and jagged edges.
WARNING:
ALL JETTING ATTACHMENTS MUST BE CORRECTLY SECURED TO THE SEWER
HOSE END.
THE HOSE WITH ATTACHMENT MUST BE INSERTED 500-700mm INTO
PIPE ENTRY PRIOR TO ENGAGING WATER PUMP
NEVER
ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE PUMP WITHOUT ATTACHMENTS BEING
CONTAINED WITHIN A PIPE

The system is ready for "Setting to work".
21.
Select the required system operating RPM (Refer to Pipe Cleaning Flow
Selection Guide at end of this section) with select switch located at central
fixed control station.
The selection mode which is rated to water pump flow between 160 to 265
litres per minute is dependant of condition of pipe to be cleaned.
HANDY HINT
To conserve water in a lot of situations the lower setting can be used for hose
travel up the pipe and upon hose retrieval the higher setting can be used as
most of the cleaning cycle is upon hose return mode.

Activate "WATER PRESSURE" selection to "HIGH" for drain cleaning.
"LOW" for handgun on ½" reel only. Never use the handgun on a 25mm sewer
hose.

Return to manhole/pit (point of hose entry) and using remote controller
switch Water Pump 'ON' and Vacuum pump 'ON'.
24.
The Extractor is now fully operational and cleaning procedure can now proceed.
25.
Press 'Hose Out' button and nozzle and hose will advance up the pipe.
