Unloading Procedure - DCS EXTRACTOR Series Operating Instructions Manual

SECTION 5:
SHUT DOWN
The Extractor has built-in shut-down systems on high debris body level and low water
level as well as emergency stop function. Upon activation of any of these systems the
following procedure should be followed to allow re-setting.
a)
Low water level – Upon low water level the water pump will turn off.
b)
High Collector Body Level – Upon collector body reaching high level the
vacuum pump will turn off.
c)
Emergency Stop – If any of the Emergency Stop buttons (control panel & rear
of truck) are activated, all systems on truck will shut down. The truck will then
shift into neutral (Volvo only). To restart system, reset all water and vacuum
pump switches, both E-Stops, then return to cabin, and restart the system.
Note: Stop button on remote are NOT emergency stops, although they will shut
down the vacuum pump & both water pumps.

UNLOADING PROCEDURE

1.
Position truck on stable terrain
2.
Engagement Procedures (Manual and "I" Shift Transmissions)
a)
With engine at idle and park brake secure select neutral gear
b)
Check air pressure is at 600 kpa before proceeding.
c)
Fully depress clutch and hold down – manual only
d)
Switch system power to 'ON' - Switch No 1 L/H side
e)
Switch PTO control to 'ON'
f)
Select 6th gear high for main hose reel – manual transmission 3
gear high for small ½" hose reel – manual
transmission Select:
"A" if "I" Shift
g)
Slowly release clutch – manual only
h)
The system is now fully functional
