This section describes the currently confirmed contents of revision of the PCI
Expansion Unit for SPARC M10 Systems Service Manual.

Accessing link board

Remove the two link cables and one management cable connected to the link
board under maintenance.
Note - Record the connection positions of the cables before disconnection for correct
restoration.
Hold the tab (A in the figure) for the link cable (electrical) or link cable (optical), and pull it
straight to the cable side to remove it. At this time, do not pull out the crossbar cable by
holding the cable part. If you pull the cable part, the connector is not unlocked completely,
which may cause a damage.
Contents of revision
The certification standards on the standard label described in "1.2 Labels/Tags" will
be changed to the following:
Safety: NRTL/C
■
Radio wave: VCCI-A, FCC-A, DOC-A, KCC, and C-Tick
■
Safety and radio wave: CE and GOST-R
■
Note in Step 1 in "8.4.1 Accessing link board" will be changed. For details, see
"Accessing link board."
Note in Step 2 in "8.5.2 Restoring cabinet" will be changed as follows;
Note - Connect the cables correctly to the original positions according to the record
before maintenance. Hold the connector part of the link cable (electrical) or link
cable (optical), and insert it straight into the opening. Do not hold the cable part
when inserting the cable.
"10.2.3 Precautions for replacement" will be changed. For details, see
for Replacement."
