Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Top cover (see
Remove the card reader board:
1.
Turn the top cover upside down with the front toward you.
2. Detach the card reader board cable (1) from the top cover. (The card reader board cable is
attached to the top cover with double-sided adhesive.)
3. Detach the grounding tape (2) that secures the card reader board to the top cover.
4. Remove the Philllips PM2.0×2.0 broad head screw (3) that secures the card reader board to the
top cover.
5. Remove the card reader board (4) and cable.
