Basic Feature Operation
Press
to display the soft keyboard, and
then start typing the name of the contact.
If you have connected a USB keyboard, start
typing the name of the contact.
Use the dial keys to enter a contact's name.
For details about entering characters with the
dial keys, see "Entering Characters
(Page 137)".
The characters you enter are displayed in
.
The contact list is searched in real time. You can
enter up to 3 characters to search for.

Press the contact you want to call.
A window with a list of available destinations
appears.

Press the desired destination and go off-hook.

You can start a chat session by pressing

To end the call, go on-hook.

If you select a contact and then go off-hook, the
contact will be dialled immediately.

You can add a new contact by pressing the add
contact button on the Contacts screen.

When you select a contact listed in the system
speed dialling directory or extension number
directory, you can add that contact to your personal
contacts by pressing the add contact button.

The icons displayed next to contacts (such as
) indicate the contacts' status. For details, see
"Telephone Status Icons (Page 73)".
The following information about the selected
contact is shown at the bottom of the Contacts
screen:
Phone number type (not available for contacts
provided by the PBX)
Phone number
Presence status (Only for contacts that have an
extension number registered as their office
phone.)
