OIL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DROP GEARBOX
OIL CHANGE: After initial 100 hours, then every 1000 hours or annually thereafter. These
intervals may be modified depending on the actual operating conditions. If used on seasonal
equipment, it is recommended that the oil be changed at the end of each season to remove
moisture and corrosive contaminants.
OIL FILL LEVEL: Unit should be filled with approximately 1.5 pints of gearlube so that the oil
is to the top of the filler neck or to the middle of the sight guage. (if so equipped)
OIL TYPE: EP 80 to 90 WT gear lube, Viscosity Index of 93 and a viscosity of 780 @ 100 degrees
F SUS and 76.7 @ 210 degrees F SUS is recommended.
GEARBOX TEMPERATURE: DO NOT EXCEED 200 DEGREES F.
OIL SPECIFICATIONS FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
OIL CHANGE: Normal change intervals of 1000 hours or annually should be followed. If used
on seasonal equipment, it is recommended that the oil be changed at the end of each season
to remove moisture and corrosive contaminants.
OIL FILL LEVEL: Oil in the hydraulic tank should be maintained at a level that is 2" below the
filler cap or visible in the sight gage, if so equipped.
OIL TYPE: Hydraulic Oil Viscosity Index of 140, with a viscosity of 281 @ 100 degrees F SUS
and 56.5 @ 210 degrees F SUS is recommended.
OIL TEMPERATURE: DO NOT EXCEED 200 DEGREES F.
OIL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRIC HYDRAULIC UNIT
OIL CHANGE: Normal change intervals of 1000 hours or annually should be followed. Oil
should be changed with the hydraulic cylinders retracted.
OIL FILL LEVEL: With the hydraulic cylinders retracted, fill the reservior to 1-1/2" below the
filler cap. (approximately 2 gallons)
OIL TYPE: Dextron III Automatic Transmission Fluid
OIL TERMPERATURE: DO NOT EXCEED 200 DEGREES F.
