COM (Serial) ports
COM 2 (DB9)
COM 1 (DB9)
The serial ports are asynchronous communi-
cation ports with 16C550A-compatible UARTs
that can be used with modems, serial print-
ers, remote display terminals, and other serial
devices.
The two COM ports support RS232 — two DB9
connector at the rear side and one internal
pin-header connector for monitoring the BMC.
Note:
The BMC COM port is used to monitor the IPMI, and may not be present when
your model does not support IPMI.
