Refer to SDS at all times for safety information. WARNING: Don’t assume chemical compatibility – if a chemical other than Goodway’s ScaleBreak® is used you must ensure that the chemical will not damage the internal components (pump, plumbing, valves, etc) of the unit. A full chemical compatibility check must be done first.
This allows for the fastest cleaning by keeping the pH at the optimal level. The GDS-15-PH will also alert you if the chemical pump has not been activated for a period of one hour – meaning the pH of the ScaleBreak® Descaling Solution has been constant and that most of the scale has probably been dissolved.

Controller Setpoint The GDS-15-PH has been set at the factory for Normal Cleaning. This vcorresponds to a ratio of water to cleaner of approximately 2 to 1 (~70% water / 30% cleaner). To prevent the overfilling of the Venting Drum if too much chemical is added, the GDS-15-PH are equipped with an “OVERFILL ALARM” Lamp. Also, the GDS-15-PH has an automatic chemical pump shut-off circuit.
Typical minimum allowable pH is 5.5 to be able to be dumped into normal drains. Check with local, state and federal laws regarding the dumping of used descaling solution.
