Toggle Clamp Maintenance
Toggle Clamp Greasing
•
The clamps must be greased regularly with
appropriate high temperature grease. If the
clamps are not greased then extra force will be
required to close them. This extra force will
lead to distortion of the locking plate causing
the clamp to be difficult to open and close or to
seize. (see section entitled Locking Plate
Adjustment)
•
The clamps are to be greased at three points:
•
Point 1:Outside Thumb Slider
•
Point 2:Behind Thumb Slider
•
Point 3:Tension Screw Thread
