Kanso® 2 Sound Processor
Quick Guide for Clinicians
Tap interface
The Cochlear™ Kanso® 2 Sound Processor has a tap interface
for certain control functions.
The recipient can tap the processor when it is on or off the
implant.
To tap, the recipient needs to follow these guidelines:
• Tap on the Cochlear logo.
• Use quick, firm taps – don't press.
Control
Turn ON
Turn OFF
Flight mode
Number of taps
Double-tap – 2 taps
Triple-tap – 3 taps

Processor User Guide
Charge the processor
The Kanso 2 Sound Processor has an internal battery that needs
regular charging. We recommend fully charging the processor on
receipt.
To recharge the processor's internal battery recipeints can:
• place it in the Home Charger overnight for charging and
drying, or
• attach it to the Portable Charger which can be worn on the
body.
The Portable Charger must be activated before first use by
connecting it to a power source or it will not charge the
processor.
Refer to the Cochlear Chargers User Guide for details.
WARNING
To charge the Kanso 2 Sound Processor:
• Use Cochlear equipment only.
• Do not use non-Cochlear equipment.
