Hardware Description

A maximum of four PoE power supplies can be installed on an S7712. The PoE power supplies
work in 3+1 or 2+2 backup mode, or do not work in backup mode.

Configuration of S7712 AC power supplies
The S7712 supports two AC power supplies in 1+1 backup mode or four AC power supplies
in 2+2 backup mode.
Use the 1+1 or 2+2 backup mode according to the power supply requirements of the system.
– 220 V AC power supplies in 1+1 backup mode (800 W)
This configuration provides a maximum of 800 W power. This backup mode is used if
the S7712 has a few LPUs and the total power consumption of the device is less than
800 W.
AC power supplies are installed in active area A and standby area B. Filler panels are
installed in empty slots of area A and area B, as shown in

– AC power supplies are installed in PWR1 and PWR3, and the filler panels are
installed in PWR2 and PWR4.
– AC power supplies are installed in PWR1 and PWR4, and the filler panels are
installed in PWR2 and PWR3.
– AC power supplies are installed in PWR2 and PWR3, and the filler panels are
installed in PWR1 and PWR4.
– AC power supplies are installed in PWR2 and PWR4, and the filler panels are
installed in PWR1 and PWR3.
– 220 V AC power supplies in 2+2 backup mode (1600 W)
This configuration provides a maximum of 1600 W power. Four AC power supplies
are installed in active area A and standby area B. The AC power supplies are installed
in slots PWR1 to PWR4.
– The S7712 does not support 110 V AC input power.
800 W power supply
– When the power supplies do not work in backup mode, a maximum of 3200 W power
is provided.
– When the power supplies work in 3+1 backup mode, a maximum of 2400 W power is

– When the power supplies do not work in backup mode, a maximum of 8800 W power
is provided.

NOTE
The 2200 W AC power supply provides only PoE power, but does not provide power for the entire device.
