Important Notice!
Do not perform continuity tests on voltage-carrying components
or circuitry.
Procedure
1. Make sure the component or circuit to be measured is
voltage-free.
2. Connect the red probe to the "V/Ω/
and the black probe to the COM input (6).
3. Set the rotary function switch to the position " ,
4. Connect the probes to the component or circuitry you intend
the measure.
5. If the resistance is under 50 Ω a signal sound, which
indicates the component or circuitry is continuous, can be
heard and the measured resistance value is displayed. For
confirmation on the top left corner of the display the symbol
appears. Furthermore the indication light (2) will turn on.
This feature indicates that the component is continuous.

Voltage Detector

With this function you can undertake non-contact voltage
measurements from approx 2 V up to 750 V. You can meas-
ure whether a conductor or a wall socket is live or not. You do
not even have to use the probes.
Procedure
1. Set the rotary function switch (4) to position "OFF". For better
handling, remove the probes.
2. To calibrate the unit, press and hold the function button "Non
Contact Voltage" (8). The red indication light (2) turns on for
a second, you will hear a signal sound and the symbol
appears on the display. While calibrating the multimeter,
keep it away from voltage-carrying components.
