2.1 Overview
2.2 Description
Wherever the process pressure has to be transmitted electronically but a cable connection of the pressure sensor is
out of the question, the IIoT-capable measuring instrument model PEW-1xxx finds its application.
The fully welded sensor element absorbs the pressure and thus experiences a change in resistance of the measuring
bridge as a measure of the applied pressure. The measuring electronics convert the change in resistance into an
electronic signal, which is transmitted to a receiver via the radio module.
On the electronics, the temperature value in the instrument is registered and made available in the radio protocol.
The battery-operated radio transmission is achieved via LoRaWAN
wide-area network) to enable large transmission ranges and long battery life, or via Bluetooth
The model PEW-1xxx meets all safety requirements of relevant standards and regulations for measuring the operating
pressure of pressure vessels as well as the requirements of the radio equipment directive for data communication.
