    What You Can Do With This Machine The Stacker is a universal Multi-Purpose Stacker, a robust stacker that assists operators with paper stacking and handling during the finishing process. The Stacker attaches inline and is integrated with multiple printers and devices. The motorized tray table eliminates lifting of heavy paper stacks.

    1. Basics Turning On / Off the Stacker Power The Stacker has one power switch on the Front Tower. NOTE: The Stacker power switch must be on when starting the printer for it to detect the Stacker. Power switch 1 1 Make sure that the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet.

    Setting the Paper Support The Paper Support is a key part of the Stacker that helps support the sides of the paper stack while stacking. It needs to be removed and attached for each new paper size and will be referenced throughout this document. Move the Paper Support after releasing the Paper Support Plungers (one on each side).

    3. Jobs Handling jobs The Stacker is designed to stack paper with the following dimensions: • Paper width from 210 mm / 8.27’’ to 330 mm / 13’’; • Paper lengths from 210 mm / 8.27’’ to 1200 mm / 47.2’’. Trying to stack paper outside of specification will cause jams.

    4. Maximum Stack Height Stack Limit Infeed Sensor and Line speed determine stack limit heights. These limits are set to prevent weight overload (over 40kg / 88.18lbs). The maximum stack height per the specification is seen in the table below. When the maximum stack height is reached, printing will be paused.

    5. Troubleshooting Fault codes General NOTE: If procedures in this manual do not rectify the problem an authorized technician will be needed. Reading the fault code The fault codes are displayed with the LEDs on the control panel. When a fault occurs, the lights will turn on indicating the number of the fault code in LED(s) either in Red (Hard-Stop = Printer immediately stops) or Yellow (Soft-Stop = Printer finishes batch then stops).

    6. Remarks Do’s And Don’ts • Always follow all warnings marked on, or supplied with, the equipment. • Always exercise care in moving or relocating the equipment. • CAUTION: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and machine before you move or relocate the equipment.

    Safety Features Infeed Unit / Stacker Table Interlock Switch The Infeed Unit Bottom Cover is loose, this allows the safety switch to be released if something is stuck between the Infeed Unit and the Stacker Table. This will stop the ma- chine moving the Stacker Table until the cover is back into operating position.

    Infeed Side Guides / Stacker Table Interlock Switch The Infeed Unit can tilt; this allows the safety switch to be released if something on the Stacker Table is wider than the Infeed Side Guides. This will stop the machine moving the Stacker Table until the Infeed Unit is back into operating position.

    Where to put Your Stacker Machine environment • The machine should only be used on a flat and level surface that corresponds to the upstream unit. • Always locate the Stacker on a solid support surface with adequate strength for the weight of the machine.

    Maintaining Your Stacker Never attempt any maintenance function that is not specifically described in this documentation. Cleaning the sensors The sensors need to be cleaned every 500K pages, more frequent cleaning may be required depending on media type. Using a lint free cloth or soft bristled brush clean the sensor. CAUTION: Never use cleaning fluids on sensors.

    Stacker Stack Quality Specification • The Stacker is capable of stacking paper from 210mm (8.27’’) x 210mm (8.27’’) up to 330mm (13’’) x 1200mm (47.2’’). The stack quality depends on paper quality, paper weight, operator setup and environmental conditions. It is up to the operator to set up the machine such that the stack quality is high and the stacker is running smoothly, without jamming.
