12. REPLACEMENT OF SENSOR IN
RATE-OF-TURN GYPR (OPTION)
The life of the sensor is approx. 17,000 hours. When its life has
expired, the following may occur when the vessel is dead in water;
1) The rate-of-turn indication is abnormally large.
2) The transverse speed indication is abnormally large.
The elapsed time is shown on the hour meter in the Rate-of-Turn Gyro.
When it exceeds 17,000 hours replace the sensor.
