To cancel the echo, press the ECHO button again until "ECHO
OFF" appears on the display. Selecting the Tuner or turning off the
power will also cancel the echo.
Note:
During recording, you cannot switch the echo.
CAUTION: Always set the MIC LEVEL control to
MIN when connecting or disconnecting the
microphone.

Microphone Mixing

Using a microphone, you can mix the microphone sound with a CD
sound.
Note:
Microphone mixing is only available for CD source.
1 Set MIC LEVEL control to MIN by turning
it fully counterclockwise.
2 Connect a microphone (not supplied) by
plugging it into the MIC jack.
3 Start the source: CD Only.
Note:
Microphone mixing is not available for other sources such as
Tape, Tuner or Aux.
4 Adjust the main volume and the MIC
LEVEL control as you sing into the micro-
phone.
To apply echo, press the ECHO button on the Remote Control
until "ECHO ON" appears on the display. To cancel the echo,
press the same button again. "ECHO OFF" will appear on the
display. Selecting the Tuner or turning off the power will also
cancel the echo.
Note:
If "howling" occurs, keep the microphone away from the speakers.
To Record Microphone Mix-
ing on a Tape
1 Follow the above steps 1-4.
2 To record, follow the steps in "Standard
Recording". (See page 18)
Note:
When digital recording is made to external equipment through the
OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT terminal using an audio CD, the
microphone sound is not recorded.
