Removing the SRX5600 Services Gateway Routing Engine
To replace the routing engine, perform the following procedures:
1. Removing the SRX5600 Services Gateway Routing Engine on page 1
2. Installing the SRX5600 Services Gateway Routing Engine on page 2
CAUTION: Before you replace a Routing Engine, you must take the host subsystem
offline.
To remove the Routing Engine (see Figure 1):
Take the host subsystem offline as described in Taking the SRX5600 Services
1.
Gateway Host Subsystem Offline.
Place an electrostatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.
2.
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and
3.
connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Flip the ejector handles outward to unseat the Routing Engine.
4.
Grasp the Routing Engine by the ejector handles and slide it about halfway out
5.
of the chassis.
Place one hand underneath the Routing Engine to support it and slide it
6.
completely out of the chassis.
Place the Routing Engine on the antistatic mat.
