    The same USB socket that is used for communication is also used for providing power to the UTREL30-WiFi, using an external 5V USB power supply. The AAA batteries maintain all functionality when USB power is not connected. A long-life CR2032 lithium backup battery maintains essential functions if the AAA batteries are empty and external power is not supplied.

  • Page 24 Pre-start readings If you enable pre-start readings, the UTREL30-WiFi starts recording as soon as it is and will continue to do so until you start the unit via the button. No alarms are processed while pre-start readings are being taken, pre-start readings will not appear in the PDF file after the logger was started, and no PDF file will be generated if only pre-start readings are present in the logger.

When supplied externally, the power symbol shows on the display: Some low-quality USB power supplies are unable to deliver sufficiently stable power to the UTREL30-WiFi.

Replacing only one of the batteries with a partially charged battery will drain the secondary backup battery. You can also use rechargeable AAA cells in this product.     Each time the logger is configured with LogTag Analyzer the display clock value is set to the PC's current local time (or timezone). The UTREL30-WiFi's real-time clock regularly synchronizes with the ® LogTag   Online server when the device connects to the network. As a result, the display clock will be automatically updated when daylight saving begins and ends.

    Starting the Logger UTREL30-WiFi User Guide Starting the Logger It is highly recommended you start a UTREL30-WiFi logger only after you have placed it in the position it will be used in. This allows you to verify wireless and network connectivity on site quickly after the start.

    UTREL30-WiFi starts recording when it reaches 0:00. As with a regular push button start without delay, the UTREL30-WiFi will perform a Connection Test as soon as the recording has started. To check the connection before the delay value has elapsed, you can initiate the connection test yourself.
