Brocade VDX 6720/6730 Operation
In this chapter
Powering on the Brocade VDX 6720/6730
For details about powering on the Brocade VDX 6720/6730, refer to
page 10.
Powering off the Brocade VDX 6720/6730
To power the Brocade VDX 6720/6730 off, power off both power supplies by setting each AC power switch
to "O" for the VDX 6720/6730-24 or unplugging the power supplies for the VDX 6720/6730-60.
LED activity interpretation
System activity and status can be determined through the activity of the LEDs on the switch.
There are three possible LED states: off (no light), a steady light, and a flashing light. Flashing lights
may be slow, fast, or flickering. The lights are green or amber. See
LED behavior.
Sometimes, the LEDs flash either of the colors during boot, POST, or other diagnostic tests. This is
normal; it does not indicate a problem unless the LEDs do not indicate a healthy state after all boot
processes and diagnostic tests are complete.
