Component explanation Component explanation The measurement of the ventilation loss with the S-tube probe is done 30 seconds after having switched of the burner. It is based on the determination of the flow speed and of the temperature of the residual core flow. The user has to enter the parameters which are necessary for the calculation of the ventilation loss, namely the burner per- formance, the diameter of the exhaust duct, the outside temperature and the air pres- sure. -

Using the S-tube probe Using the S-tube probe NOTE! The Wöhler S-tube Pitot probe supplies a better useful signal than a standard Prandtl tube with the same velocity.
