5.8 Sawing along markings

pointer, which automatically adjusts itself during
bevel cuts. This tracing edge (23) corresponds to
the inside (side facing the motor) of the saw blade.
Use the following procedure to saw along markings:
1.
Hold the machine by the handles and position it such that the front part of the base plate is on the
workpiece.
2.
Position the tracing edge (23) at the marking on the workpiece.
3.
Switch on the machine.
4.
Plunge to the selected cutting depth and advance the machine steadily in the cutting direction.
5.
Ensure that the tracing edge (23) is guided along the marking.
6.
Switch off the machine at the end of the cut.
7.
Return to the upper locked position.
Sawing along markings terminated.

5.9 Sawing with the parallel guide fence

The parallel guide fence (C) is used for sawing in parallel to an existing edge. The guide fence can be mounted
on the right (motor side) or the left (tool side) side of the machine. The possible adjustable distance is 190 to
320 mm [7.48 - 12.60 in] on the right side and 40 mm to 130 mm [1.57 - 5.12 in] on the left side.
To check the set width, use an additional measuring device (such as a meter stick) to set the parallel guide
fence to the correct distance (edge of parallel guide fence to cutting line).
Use the following procedure to install the
parallel guide fence:
1.
Loosen the wing screws (5) on both sides.
2.
Insert the parallel guide fence (C) into the
guide provided for this purpose.
It can be mounted on the left or right side
of the machine.
3.
Tighten the wing screws (5) on both sides.
The parallel guide fence is installed.
