A method for controlling the flow of data between the reader and the
9720 serial port. It stops the transmitting device from sending data
when the receiving device buffer fills up and starts it again when the
buffer empties. This can be done through software (XON/XOFF) or
hardware (CTS/RTS).
An operating mode that sets the reader to properly decode Code 39
or Code 93 labels containing data that may include any of the 128
ASCII characters.
Health Industry Bar Code standard. It uses Code 39 symbology and
specifies the format of the data.
A character, number, or symbol printed in a font that can be read by
a human; as opposed to bar code symbology that can only be read by
a machine.
A wand or laser scanner that scans bar code information into the
reader.
A communication parameter that causes the reader to delay a set
time between characters when sending data to the workstation.
The space between the last element of one character and the first
element of the adjacent character of a discrete bar code symbol.
