ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

Assembly tools required
• Phillips Screwdriver (not supplied)
Attaching The Edge Guide And Guard To
The Trimmer/Edger

WARNING:
the tool to protect the user. NEVER OPERATE TOOL
WITHOUT GUARD FIRM LY IN PLACE.
Unplug the tool before attempting to attach the guard.
1. Locate the edge guide and spread it apart as shown in
(figure B)

2. Attach the edge guide to the housing by locating the
two ends into the holes in the housing.
NOTICE:
DO NOT INSERT THE ENDS OF THE EDGE
GUIDE INTO THE FAN HOLES AS SHOWN IN (FIG. C).
3. Remove the guard attachment screw from the guard.
Slip the guard onto the trimmer housing and lineup
the screw hole in the guard with the screw hole in the
housing (figure C).

4. Insert the guard attachment screw to secure the guard
in place as shown in figure D.

Attaching extension cord
• An extension cord retainer
handle that prevents the cord from coming unplugged.
To use this feature, simply double the extension cord
about 8 inches (203mm) from the end, and insert it into
the slot 17 in the end of the handle area as shown in
figure H. Hook the loop formed by doubling the cord
over the tab 2 . Gently tug on the cord to insure that
it is firmly retained in the trimmer's handle. Plug the
receptacle end of the extension cord into the power
cord plug 3 in the trimmer.
