10.5 In Case of Power Failure
If power failure occurs while the chiller-heater is operating in cooling mode and the chiller-heater is
left as it is without taking no countermeasures, crystallization may take place because of no dilution
operation. In case of power failure, open the damp valve located at the lower part of the low
pressure generator to drain the concentrated solution. Further, if power failure happens while
purging, close the manual purge valve (Refer to Fig. 6.2 Purge System) quickly. For restoration,
start the chiller-heater in the same procedure as taken in case of crystallization.
10.6 In Case of Emergency Like Earthquake or Fire
Switch off the main power and close the main fuel valve quickly.
The fuel shut-off valve is closed automatically by the force of spring if the power is cut. Open the
main fuel valve to restart the chiller-heater after confirming safety.
