5.4 Cooling Operation
5.4.1 Start-Up
(1) Operate the chilled water pump.
(2) Operate the chilled water pump.
No indication lamp is provided for cooling water flow rate. As the cooling water pump is
interlocked with the chiller-heater, the machine does not start as far as the cooling water pump
does not run.
(3) Operate the cooling tower fan.
(4) Open the main fuel valve
(5) Please confirm that "error" message in LCD is not display.
(6) Unless the solution level reaches the setting level, turn on the service switch in the control panel.
Then the solution pump starts to pump up the solution to the high pressure generator. Turn off
the switch when the solution level rises and the solution pump stops automatically.
(7) Confirm if the indication lamp, "High pressure generator" lights on. This lamp lights on when the
following three items are normal:
1) High pressure generator temperature
2) High pressure generator pressure
3) Exhaust gas temperature
(8) Turn on the "STOP-START" switch in the control panel to "START". (Press-button switch ---
START)
When switched to "START", the chiller-heater is operated automatically as per the following
process.
1) The solution pump starts.
2) The forced fan starts and pre-purges for about 90 seconds.
3) When the pre-purge finishes, the igniter and pilot valve actuate at the same time, and the
pilot burner is fired. The igniter puts out for 4 seconds. ( In case of oil fired type, the igniter
and fuel valve actuate simultaneously, and the burner is fired. The igniter puts out for 6
seconds.)
4) At 5~12 seconds after the pilot valve is opened, the main fuel valve is opened and then the
main burner is fired (In case of gas fired type.) The indication lamp, "COMBUSTION" lights
on.
5) After that, the main burner is controlled automatically according to the combustion rate in
accordance with the load.
6) When the high pressure generator liquid temperature rises up to 120℃ the refrigerant pump
starts automatically.
5.4.2 Stoppage
(1) Turn on the "START-STOP" switch in the control panel to "STOP". (Press-button switch --- STOP)
(2) The indication lamp "OPERATION" goes off. In case of remote control system turn on the selection
switch in the remote control panel to "STOP". (The lamp of the press-button switch, "STOP" lights
on.)
