Daily visual inspection by the driver

Personnel:
Protective equipment:

Check the SmartFork
Check the camera optics:
– The camera protective lens (ATEX polycarbonate lens) must not be covered, dirty,
clouded or damaged.
– The SmartFork
– The cables in the SmartFork
solely with approved SikaTack-Drive adhesive and leave it to harden for at least 60
minutes.

Check the fork arm locking device for functionality:
– The SmartFork

Check the strain relief for functionality:
– The connection cable must have enough play in every position and may not be
under tension or be trapped or kinked.

Check the connection cable for functionality:
– The plug connection for the camera cable must be plugged together securely.
– The cables must not have any damage, cracks or kinks.

Danger to life due to unsecured vehicle or moving components!
Uncontrolled movements of the vehicle or components can result in
serious injuries or even death due to the high dead weight.
Observe the following points at all times:
– Secure the carrier vehicle against inadvertently rolling off (e.g., with a
parking brake or by removing the key).
– Always use a suitable lifting device for heavy components.
– During the disassembly of the SmartFork
do not fall down or tip over.
– Immediately place disassembled components to one side to prevent
them falling.
